Frederick the Elephant says: the reports about him being shopped are retarded. No way they move him.

Agreed. While he’s certainly not an untouchable, it unlikely he’d be moved. His not that expensive by Yankee standards, and he’s one of their younger position players, plus he was key to the personality change on the team. Couple all that with the uncertainly at the moment around who is going to replace Damon’s 24 HRs and Matsui’s 28 HRs, and we’re supposed to believe that the Yankees are also shopping Swisher’s 29 HRs? Unless it’s part of some greater block-buster deal, I expect Swish to be on the Yanks in 2010.
Swisher has one form of plate discipline (sees a lot of pitches) but if he would just cut down on his swing and try to take the ball the other way a bit more often, his results would improve.

There were no reports of him being shopped. there were reports of him being “available.” There’s a big difference.
