Jerry Hairston signed with the Padres for a reported $2.12 million. $2 mil+, really?
Anyway, that takes another right-handed OF out of the running for the Yanks…not that you should be looking for offense from Jerry Hairston. But with one less option, could the Yanks be moving closer to inking Reed Johnson, ye of left handed pitching mashing?

I don’t want a genetically defective guido on my Yankees.

Hey, “gentetically defective” is hurtful.
Much more politically correct to say, “He fing sucks.”

I still haven’t seen any legit reports of teams interested in Johnny Damon…

Maybe we could trade for Melky

Reed is 32 and we already picked up a Johnson.
Rocco is 27 and has Defective Guido Syndrome.
That’s kind of awesome.
It’s like we’d have our own post-millennial DiMaggio, but he can only play once every three days for a couple of innings.
Maybe in July when he’s not working out we can engineer a multi-team trade and pick up Frank Catalanotto, Justin Ruggiano, Nick Punto, Tony Graffanino, Vinny Rottino, Chris Capuano, and Carl Pavano.
Swisher is Italian, you know.

I still prefer Nady to either since he has been with the Yanks for awhile -bats well against lefties – and since he won’t be ready right away will allow a younger player to platoon to start the season.

How dare you spread horrible lies about Swisher
