A week ago, we put up a poll asking our visitors who they wanted as the Yankees' 5th starter to open the season.

With nearly 1000 votes tallied, 57% chose Phil Hughes over Joba Chamberlain (43%). We'll see if it plays out that way.

    that doesnt say much since also at one point the mayority taught the world was flat

    and lastyear everyone thought that cody ransom was better than signing a free agent like jerry hairston jr

    facts are that 6 out 10 people are dumb so that says a lot

    It doesn’t say much since, also, at one point the majority thought the world was flat, as well as “majority” was spelled “majority” and “thought” was spelled “thought.”

    They should split every start. Alternating 5 & 4 innings pitched per start, this is a sure fire way to get em both their innings and giving the BP a rest every 5 days or so. If a starter goes down no need to panic and allow Mitre to give up 6 runs in 2.1 innings, all you gotta do is shift Joba and Phil each into a rotation spot.
