If we had covered the right field wall with lube back in 2007-2008, maybe Bobby would have been willing to get near it
Kyle Farnsworth April 13, 2010 21:20
Dude, Robertson needs to grow a long fingernail or something, his fastball is WAYYYY too straight. I should know. Recipe for disaster.

If Winn isn’t in there, Swisher makes the catch on that Brandon Wood fly ball to right. There I said it.

Grand conspiracy to allow all four dynasty players to get into the opening day / ring day game.
Kyle April 13, 2010 22:45
I dont know Farnsworth, usually his fastball is pretty good, just ask Michael Kay.
Michael Kay April 14, 2010 03:02
David Robertson…I love you long time!
JoeThunder April 14, 2010 06:22
Eh, the boy had a hiccup. We still got the win and I’m sure Robertson will be fine the rest of the way.

What does KY jelly have to go with giving up a grand slam?
Looks like Nomaas has turned the corner from appealing to the smart fans, to the college aged douche bags we see in MTV….

wade, you’re a loser. if you can’t figure this one out, you’re also a dumbass.

I actually went to the game. Was a good time. I got interviewed by Mike Lupica on the train on the way down to the game LOL. No lie…check out his column today. He mentions me in the last paragraph.
Jack April 14, 2010 09:17
Guy from W. springfield MA? Good job getting to the stadium. BTW, I Cant believe Lupica did not mention anything about the Yankees payroll in today’s article or cost of the stadium ! That is a first
Butcher April 14, 2010 09:39
Jack,
Yeah that’s me. He was very nice to me. We talked baseball for probably like an hour.
As soon as he got on and sat down next to me I knew it was him. I didn’t want to bother him, but he actually just got up and sat next to me, started talking.
It took me 4 hours to get there. Traffic was insane…but it was totally worth it. Great memory. I went by myself too. First time I’ve ever done that…still had a great time..no one talking in my ear when I was trying to watch the game LOL.

Butcher, I go to Boston College with Lupica’s son, along with the son of Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy. I’m not friends with either of them, but I must say the older Lupica has always struck me as a decent guy. He’s one of few sports journalists I can still tolerate. I nearly went down for the game but decided to stay in Mass because of work (and now I’m commenting on NoMaas…). Glad ya made it down and back in one piece.
Butcher April 14, 2010 12:56
It was great. He actually talked about his son going to BC….and how his family vacations where Paul O’Neill’s family vacations…that it just happened and wasn’t planned.
He loves Paul O’Neill. We talked about that for a while.
wade April 14, 2010 15:33
I still dont get it
Wade the Dolt April 14, 2010 20:11
