AJ Burnett

AJ Burnett forgot to plug himself him before his start versus Boston and allowed 9 (8 earned) runs at Fenway. Fortunately, the Yankees still took the series against The Underdogs.

Nice job by Romulo Sanchez saving the bullpen though.

And we were treated to another fantastic defensive display by Marcus Thames.

I actually met Jeter before the Saturday game. He was coming out of the Ritz. We were heading to the game from our hotel and we just saw him on the street. He was insanely nice…took pictures with us…signed stuff for us. Just a really nice guy.

Good post, don’t want to lose sight of the fact that the Yankees did great work this weekend. A sweep was probably too much to expect. Yanks just need to tread water for 2-3 weeks while everyone gets healthy.

It was a disappointing game, but I think it’s great for baseball that a team with only a $168M payroll is still at .500 this late into the season. Gives the other small market teams hope.
