I am glad Javey turned it around, now if only we can get the bats to give him some more runs and the bullpen not to blow so many games for him. Although if it wasn’t for that long inning I am sure he would have pitched the 8th and we probably wouldn’t be talking about a loss.

I post both here and RAB, though on RAB more. But I definitely agree with what tsjc said. Not everyone is like that, but there are a few that I have found are.
Much more than a few, I’d say at least 50-60% posters on RAB are pretentious a-holes. To make matters worse if you disagree with anyone you get ridiculed and torn to shreds…quote from an obscure movie.
Javy still can’t pitch on the big stage. This is not the guy you’d want in your playoff rotation. Evidence is the mega meltdowns he’s suffered in the past. Sometimes when pitchers throw balls directly over the plate. They get hit….hard.
I’m glad he’s doing well because I’m a Yankee fan, not a Javy hater. But come on. The jury is still out on whether or not he can pitch well against the top teams in the American League. He amassed the innings you site against Seattle, Oakland, Seattle, Arizona, Houston, the Mets, Toronto, and Baltimore.

Javy has turned it on as of late.

Too bad Joba turned it off.

He got dat swagga on full bebe
Pat D July 11, 2010 11:56
And this is why, if they had traded for Lee, they would have just moved Hughes to the bullpen and kept Javy in the rotation.

Joba needs to get his head straightened out after the break.
CyYoung July 11, 2010 12:21
I’ll work w/ him. I do have an award of some sorts named after me so I do know a thing or 2 about pitching.
John Darc July 11, 2010 12:37
Uh, I think the haters were in the right in hating on Javy when he was terrible for so long.
General Manager, Long Island Ducks July 11, 2010 12:44
We’ll take Javy. Pass on Joba, though…
Don't hate Javi July 11, 2010 12:47
Wondering why NoMaas only picked since June 1st, since his 6th start on May 12th he has a 2.75 ERA and a .569 OPSa. 72 IP in 12games (11 starts).

Javy is a good pitcher right Tim?
Jon Miller - ESPN July 11, 2010 13:57
You know Joe, Javy is a Yankee. Didn’t your Cincinnati Reds beat them in the World Series?
Joe Morgan - ESPN July 11, 2010 13:58
Yes we did, Jon. My Reds’ teams of the 70′s are still better than any other team in any other decade in baseball.

I get a kick out of the RAB comments.
Joba Chamberlain July 11, 2010 15:47
I still haven’t forgiven Javy for giving up that grand slam to Damon in ’04.

“I get a kick out of the RAB comments.”
This.

@Average RAB Commenter…
I sense some snark there; please keep snark to a minimum, and please note that libel is a an instant-ban.

Please don’t make fun of RAB, everyone there is smarter and a better fan than you…something else condescending and hypocritical.

I took “Bad Javy” on vacation with me, but don’t worry… we’ll both be back in time for the playoffs…
Josh Beckett July 12, 2010 12:52
Sensitive RAB Guy, Dustin Pedroia is looking for you
Steve July 12, 2010 13:54
Yes, because AJ didn’t pitch a gem in the most important game of the 2009 playoffs.
Mike K July 12, 2010 16:06
Javy Vazquez before that:
42 IP, 46 H, 36 K, 22 BB, 6.86 ERA
Did that not count?
Did he apologize for that?

To Mike K. He’s a 5th starter on this team! It’s not like you need him to start a playoff game.

I just laid down for bed and I don’t think I’ve been in this much pain since snowboarding in BC yearsss ago. Surfing kills! So cramped up.
