Can we trade the Yankees’ playoff rotation for Trenton’s playoff rotation?

From Mike Ashmore's Thunder Thoughts:
Game #1 Wednesday 7:05 at Waterfront Park
TRN RHP Dellin Betances (0-0, 3.37) vs. NH RHP Kyle Drabek (14-9, 2.94)Game #2 Thursday 7:05 at Waterfront Park
TRN LHP Andy Pettitte (0-0,0.00) vs NH LHP Zach Stewart (8-3, 3.63)Game #3 (if neccessary) 7:05 at New Hampshire
TRN LHP Manny Banuelos (0-1, 3.52) vs. NH RHP Randy Boone (5-10, 3.98)Game #4 (if neccesary) 7:05 at New Hampshire
TRN RHP Andrew Brackman (5-7, 3.01) vs. NH RHP B.J. LaMura (5-6, 3.73)
With Adam Warren in the wings to back up Andy Pettitte...
So sexy.

2-3 MORE YEARS BABY! COME ON BABY!
Yeah switch rotations with the AAA team And then bench Jeter and Arod for Nunez and Pena!!!!
#28 will be easy as pie to get then
I wouldnt bench arod but I would bench jeter.
Albert Poo-Holes is obviously an idiot. He also obviously doesn’t follow the minor leagues.
Lifetime bans for all of you clowns.
2014 is going to be dead sexy…. until Cashman trades three of them for a post-Tommy John surgury Felix Hernandez or a Methadone-addicted Josh Johnson…
LOL that’s a good looking rotation although I think you need to have CC on the front end. I don’t care how good those kids and the gunslinger are without CC this team is going no where.
I heard the same thing three years ago about the future Yankees rotation that would includde Ian Kennedy, Alan Horne, and Jeff Marquez.
Translation: if history is any indication, I’d be surprised if more than one of these guys (if that) is starting for the Yankees in 2014.
Their innings limits won’t allow them to pitch deep into October until 2018.
Except for Andy, who never had an innings limit, which clearly derailed his career.
ARGGGGHHHH! I hate innings limits. Reinvent the wheel while you’re at it.
Poo-Holes does not know AAA from AA. He must be an alcoholic….

Jeff Marquez and Alan Horne never posted anything better than a 3.50 ERA in AA or AAA in a full season. I don’t see how anybody could of made those projections on Horne and Marquez. Ian Kennedy is actually doing well for the Diamondbacks this season considering it’s his first full season as a starter in the majors.
Mark my words: Barring injury Warren, Betances, Phelps, and Banuelos will see the majors their numbers are just too good. There is also a good chance Brackman will be in the show.

Alan Horne, Jeff Marquez and Ian Kennedy simply can’t hold a candle to Betances, Brackman and Banuelos. And the fact that Hughes, Chamberlain and Gardner are all contributing in the Bronx right now, I wouldn’t be shocked to see any of the B boys in the Bronx in 2011, 2012 or 2013. Hughes and Chamberlain were the last ***** prospects the Yankees had and IMO Betances has a higher ceiling than either of those guys.
*** Horne was a power arm with decent velocity and good command. Good ceiling limited by injury problems galore. Plus fastball, plus curveball, decent pitcher’s frame at 6’4″ 195. Currently 27 or 28 years old and likely done playing baseball after about 6 surgeries. When he was drafted by the Indians he profiled as a #1 type starter, however after numerous injuries and never making it above AA with the Yankees he never profiled as a #1 type starter with the Yankees. He was always recovering and in fact he still is recovering.
*** Kennedy was purely a command pitcher, little velocity average ceiling. Smallish frame and little mound presence at 6’0″ 195. Has found some success in the NL. Never profiled as a #1 type starter.
**** Marquez was a command/sinker ball pitcher. Waste of a 1st round pick if you ask me since he had little K/9 ability despite a great changeup. Of these 3 he probably had the most promise in terms of ceiling and likelihood to reach it. Never profiled as a #1 type starter. Decent frame at 6’2″ 195.
***** Betances has a plus fastball, plus curveball, developing changeup and drastically improved command. At 6’8″ 245lbs flashing 97 to 98 at times on the radar gun he is a true power pitcher and profiles as an elite #1 type starter. K/9 was 12.6 in his first taste of AA. In terms of ceiling, I can’t recall a Yankee pitching prospect with a higher ceiling over the past 10 years. Consistent mechanics is his weakness which is correctable through coaching. Maintaining health is also a concern.
***** Brackman also has a plus fastball, plus curveball. Works around 93 to 95 but can light up the gun to 98 as well. Had 7.8 K/9 in his first experience at AA. Profiles as an elite #1 type starter. Consistent mechanics and pitching IQ are his weakness and both are correctable through coaching. At 6’10″ 240 he should be given extra time to reach his celing.
**** Banuelos also has a plus fastball, plus curveball and a plus change. Lefties that throws 93+ with a high pitching IQ and plus control are not common. His small frame is his only downside at 5’10″ 155lbs. However at 19 years old he has some time to beef up his frame.
Omg! Surfing in the next Hawaii Five-O!! Hopefully we’ll see some shirtless steve ;)
