After serving as a punching bag for fans for much of the year, Curtis Granderson is on his way to putting up a respectable season. After going 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks to lead the Bombers to their 7th win in a row, C-Grand now sits at .252/.324/.459. It's certainly below expectations, but it's decent. Heading into the game, Curtis had an OPS+ of 109.

A little youth and speed, a good representative for the sport and team, I like him. Even though he sucked most of the season. I hope the NYY don’t waste a boatload on free agent outfielders this offseason, we are fine as is, maybe pick up a good fourth outfielder or give a AAA guy a shot. Spend the dough on Cliff Lee and any other quality starters available.

Ben Dover… First off, we’ve gone over that Gardner is better than Damon (and has been better than Grandy), but we don’t need to rehash those arguments. More importantly, I’m pretty sure we have 3 OFs under contract for next year…. the 3 OFs we currently have playing for us. People only talk about Carl Crawford as a luxury. There are no “AAA guys” to give a shot to instead of “spending a boatload” on free agents. We have an OF. Maybe Cash wants Crawford. But I no not of these AAA guys who deserve a shot.

in 2011, I would like to see Crawford over Gardner. I know BG has that home grown appeal & produces but Crawford talks like he is hellbent on getting better & is just 2 years older than BG.
