In order for the Yankees to force a Game 7 in the ALCS, will the Bombers need to once again count on the booming bat of Curtis Granderson?
Curtis’ postseason has been nothing short of phenomenal. He leads the team in walks (6) and OBP (.515), and is second only to the ridiculous Robinson Cano in SLG% (.654).
He was the Yankees’ best player in the ALDS with a line of .455/.500/.727, and he trails only Cano in ALCS production with a line of .333/.524/.600.
Curtis Granderson makes Austin Jackson look like Bryant Gumbel.

I like him in the two hole, I know you don’t want to have two lefties back to back, but Cano can hit anyone. With Curtis in the two hole maybe Girardi would try some hit & run action provided Gardner or Jeter could get on base. BTW when does Gardner work with Kevin Long to improve his swing?

Defense fine, but we have all been over the fact that he doesn’t bunt to take advantage of his greatest asset. At some point Girardi or someone should say, “son you a’int good enough to keep hackin, start bunting to key a rally. I guess that’s what annoys me so much, if the Yanks are down a run or two asshat goes up there, takes two pitches for strikes & ends up on the bench. Maybe Curtis should work with him.
