Suzyn Waldman….picture her singing “Sweet Mystery of Life” while doing it, ALA Young Frankenstein. K-Long just don’t have that kind of voice.

I would rather Joe Maddon than either… those Buddy Holly specs and ‘silver fox’ hair is just dreamy

so 3/4 of people would rather sleep with Kevin Long than Suzyn Waldman?

So seriously, 2/3 of you would rather face Cliff Lee? I am surprised by that. Any reason?

What, what? In my butt.

That Texas lineup just doesn’t scare me nearly as much as Tampa’s. Hamilton is still hurt. Beyond Lee, they have nothing.

Because he’d likely only pitch once, in Game 3, when we’re already up 2 games to zip, and even if he wins his game I suspect we’d win the ALCS in 5 games. Tampa is a more difficult matchup, imo.

Texas has better lineup than TB, Cliff Lee and a nasty pen. TB has great starting pitching , great team speed and superb defense.

Both good squads but CJ Wilson and Colby Lewis dont care me as much as Garza and Wade Davis, give me that fat fuck Nolan Ryans Rangers.

Tex Premium Lager October 12, 2010 11:15Reply

The Rangers haven’t seen the Yanks’ top 3 starters since the beginning of the season, and their lineup can be pitched around. Seems like the obvious call. Plus I’d like to skip the payroll disparity talk a NYY-TB series would generate from the TBS commentators every. Fucking. Game.

And, yes, I’d go Waldman, but Lord Almighty I’m certainly not proud of myself.

Texas doesn’t really scare me lineup wise. Hamilton’s a shell of what he was all year. Vlad is streaky. Cruz is streaky. Kinsler is garbage.

Cliff Lee probably will pitch once, maybe twice, and beyond that their rotation is pretty weak. If Cliff Lee loses the game he pitches…it almost locks up the series.

I think Tampa is the tougher matchup for the Yanks.

Plus the idea of smacking around the Rangers with George W Bush in attendance is delightful.

Lupica Swallows October 12, 2010 14:40Reply

Both have pluses & minuses. Texas has no one outside of Lee & the lineup can be dangerous but still Vlad is a hacker, albeit a dmgerous one.Tampa, besides the fact that a portion of the crowd will be rooting for us, is a god awful park. Seriously if you keep them off the bases they are incredibly average. You justkeep Crawford off the bases. Both teams pens are about equal, except I trust Soriano a little more. Feliz had the deer in the headlights look the other night.

I Guess Texas because their fan base is obnoxious & arrogant with no reason to be. It would be nice to shut up those twangy douche fucks.

Would rather face Tampa. Nothing after Price and we only face him once. Lee and Wilson are far better than Price and Garza. Tampa is a better hitting team and they have a better closer, but…pitching, pitching, pitching.
