Except he’s not even remotely close. No drama, no public indecision, no holding up the team’s plans – simply using the time his organization allots him to make a decision. The vast majority of FA haven’t decided where they’re going to play next year. Why should Andy have to rush?

And our whole team isn’t centered on Andy Pettitte like the Vikings/Jets/Packers with Favre. We are waiting on a decision from what could very well be our #4 starter in 2011.

We wait for Andy because he’s good. And most importantly PROVEN–in the AL east–and most importantly in the playoffs. Sometimes I feel like these sabermetric friendly sites think of the business side of baseball like their playing MLB the show, franchise mode.

I’m really ok with not overpaying de la rosa, and with not paying Harang any amount of money…if good starters had signed for bargain deals, I’d find a reason to get worked up over it…when lee signs with someone else for less money than we’ve heard thrown around, I’ll lose some sleep over it.

“not saying they’re equal or better”, but then goes off on how waiting for andy pettite somehow effects not signing garbage pitchers. So that’s pretty much implying that these two pitchers can somehow be adequate replacements for andy. Either that, or “waiting on” andy somehow effects the yankees not signing them. Which is even more ridiculous, because once again, these pitchers sucks. And I’m awesome.

Don’t understand the point about Harang. He’s toast. Why should we care if he signed with SD? Nova is a better alternative.
