and he walks the leadoff guy more than his fair share when he comes in for a clean inning.
it doesnt seem like hes nibbling/not trusting his stuff. the walks also usually arent results of drawn out at bats with foul balls and close pitches on the corners. rather, he just flat out loses command for a batter or two at a time, walking them on 4-5 pitches, the balls way outside the zone. normally, he can then bear down and get out of it, often with a big K. but too often when he does finally give up a hit, a runner will come in because that runner got on when robertson inexplicably lost his control and walked him on 4 straight balls way outside the zone.
