Ritardi was going to bring aj back for the eighth! The guy is worse than Torre. Aj had pitched a good game, how do you leave him in after he has lost it at 110 pitches? This was a clear ritardi loss. He clearly thinks winning in the AL east is so easy that you don’t need your best team on the field to do it, and you can blow games all year and still win.
Not to mention Gardner OBP against lefties is 54 points higher than Andruw Jones. He should be starting every game anyway just off his defensive alone.
where we finish or what this team does this season does not matter and is secondary to giving the proper respect to derek at least for the next 2 seasons. change will come in 2013.
