I’ve made quite a lot of good moves this season. Just look at my delegate count. And I have more than enough left in my campaign chest to buy all the delegates I need.
Cashman should have traded Cito Culver, Brett Marshall, David Phelps, David Adams, and Betances for Clayton Kershaw. Then he should have signed Prince Fielder to DH.
The best thing we can do is to stop making comfort for our enemies… its hard sometimes to make choices, but we have to choose to follow the path of freedom. From there, we can see the light of democracy, which can be shined upon the forces of tyranny that hide in the shadows, waiting like a cobra to strike. Also, we need to send Rush to France.
OR Gets to the world series for two years and then the team reverts to the 80′s yankees for a solid 14 years.

How? Clayton Kershaw is a sure thing ace coming off a cy young, you pair him with CC and youre good to go. Also the whole 80s were awful is completely overated. The Yanks wouldve made the postseason 5 times under the 4 teams make the playoff system, now with the 5th team Id have to go look it up but its probably even more. The 85 Yankees won 97 games damnit. the 2000 and 96 Yankees werent as good.
Ask this question again a year from now. Right now, it’s just dumb speculation. All of these moves are good on paper. Biggest splash is Pineda, where you traded a hot-prospect non-catcher with a whole lot of potential for a hot-prospect pitcher with a whole lot of potential. Statistically, it’s insignificant. With this time, the need for pitching was greater than the need for a DH, period. In that sense, it was a good move. If Pineda sucks, it will turn out horrible. If he’s good and Montero sucks, Cashman is a genius. Otherwise, who cares about Ibanez, Chavez, whatever. Chump change.
No doubt Ibanez was the worst at the end of the day, the thing that’s amazing is that everyone knew that Ibanez over either Matsui or Damon (take your pick) was a shit idea.
So the Montero/Pinata Trade and the Ibanez signing (i’m not looking up how to type out the accents on all of these names) are voted as best and worst of the offseason. That trade eventually lead to the Ibanez signing.
I’m not sure where i’m going with this, but yeah. There you have it…

All of these moves stink! Who’s this GM? I would have signed Prince, CJ, Albert, and would have traded away the entire farm system for Kershaw.
