Merely a numbers game with Stewart. What I’m more cheesed over is the fact they gave up a guy who could be a solid reliever for some shit stain back up catcher who probably won’t be on the roster by June 1st.
Fun fact: Stewart had 3 AB’s for the Yankees in 2008. However a 30 year old with only 237 total AB’s in his MLB career I’m not really pumped over. Granted Frankie isn’t the greatest hitter he can still get on base. Plus, IMO, I think he handles the pitchers well and calls a good game, but that’s just me.
After Posada getting pushed to DH (not even a backup C role), Montero getting traded for a prospect, and Cervelli losing a job to a last minute journeyman trade aquisition after being groomed by the farm system for years, I think it’s clear… Girardi is a catcher Nazi!
Fine if you wanna hate on Cashman. But your arguments are seriously lacking. Tampa Yankees making the moves when Daddy Steinbrenner was boss so bad signings/trades were not entirely Cash’s fault.
