Nunez is bad at: Fielding, hitting, plate discipline.
He is good at: speed.
He can be easily replaced with someone who can field. The organization’s fascination with this joke of a baseball player is insane.
Another thing: how come Hughes gets a million chances to prove himself in the rotation yet Joba wasn’t treated the same? Can’t complain about Kennedy cause he netted Granderson but I am tired of the Phil Hughes show. Trade him, option him, or stick him in the bullpen.
Even I’m scared of Nunez. His grammar! I’d show that punk how I roll. I think everyone would like to see me finish him off with my flawless jeet kune do.
Oh yeah another brilliant binder move, keep rotating your clean up hitter so he develops no rhythm. Oh and keep using an ineffective lefty cause he has a cool name, Booney. ARRRGGH.
Never mind that the 3 – 4 -5 hitters, you know the ones supposed to brig in the runs let brian matusz beat you and look like shit.
Never mind that 2 of the 5 starters are a joke
never mind that your starting catcher hits like shit and his defense is overrated
never mind that your DH sucks ass
Never mind that 2 OF’s are injured
none of that matters, the real problem is a back up player playing out of position in LF or a middle reliever allowing ER’s in an out of the ordinary day when our bullpen has been solid
Yes blame the players, despite the fact that you have an infielder playing the outfield, the same manager bringing in the same ineffective lefty time after time and the constant shuffling of the 2,3,4 and 6 hitters depending on who is on the mound. The only thing consistent on this team is the overmanaging of Girardi and Cashman’s shitty evaluating of pitching.
I like to rip Ritardi, but do you really think that changing the batting order a few spots really affects these hitters? I have never understood how that is supposed to affect hitters.
I do think it affects the team to some degree. I may be the only one who thinks this but I trust Alex more in the clean up role than Cano. Robbie seems to anxious to jump on the first pitch like last night in the fourth.
Does Teix not bat 5th always? yet he seems to just be a bitch and suck, sure theres fault in the over managing but the players are responsible for their individual production.
Managers job is to take your assets and make them blend to the point where they are productive as a hole.
As for the bullpen we have the best bullpen in the MLB and thats with having to overuse them thanks in part to our 4 – 5th starters and the dreadful beginning to the season.
to lay the blame on role players and middle relievers like most people are doing here is just stupid when you have a full league with closers doing far worse than our middle relievers.
there is one thing thats consistent and thats how much yankee fans moan and bitch
No. Tex should not bat any higher than ninth until he learns to beat the shift. If he can’t do that, he sucks.
The Deat Bat Society strikes again. Our lineup can’t hit the fricking orioles.
Boone Logan is the worst pitcher in our bullpen. Hughes has ONE win this season with an era over 7, moderately better than Freddy “I ran out of Pixie Dust” Garcia.
No reason we shouldn’t blame the players…see the above evidence.
However, i do agree on one thing…..girardi just fucking sucks. Changing the lineup isn’t a bad thing, but leaving shit productivity in the meat of the order? Stoop it.
one last thing, where a batter hits on the order is stupid , other than being able to have more at bats the rest of the theories sound like stupidity since if the 1st inning its a 1 2 3 inning then the cleanup hitter leads off the second
Ritardi is fucking awful. There are so many great managers in MLB and we have Ritardi. I got buddies that died face down in the muck so the Yanks could win championships and we have Ritardi! Ritardi needs to get fragged.

Remember, the organizations fascination with him is the reason we ended up with Pineda instead of Cliff Lee.

two starting outfielders go down, and you don’t bring up an outfielder? Cashman is seriously off his fucking rocker.

Instead of a GM that has won several championships, the Yankees need me.

He has been good until this year. And you spell at a third grade level.

Girardi gave up this game the second he filled out the lineup card.

Maybe if we we were within a few runs, but we just got beaten thoroughly last night. Everyone pitched in.
I thought hughes was a little better, but even a big fan of his like I am, has to see that he is one more bad start away from bye bye land.
