The Truth May 27, 2012 20:50Reply

And remember kids in 2004 The Boston Red Sox used Billy “One playoff series win as a GM” Beane’s brilliant Moneyball philosophy to win their first World Series in 86 years. Even though Gene Michael used the exact same philosophy to help The New York Yankees win 4 World Series in 5 years from 1996 to 2000.

How’s that package for Gio working out? Derek Norris is the only one doing squat right now and he might last behind the plate. AJ, top 100 prospect and the jewel of the trade, just got demoted to Low-A and is still sucking.

How’s that going for you Billy “I revolutionized baseball but really didn’t” Beane?

Thumb up 3 Thumb down 0

Billy Beane May 28, 2012 13:47Reply

Quite well considering the A’s pay me a decent check to remain mediocre year in and year out. Once Texas loses Josh Hamilton to you guys and Pujols gets deported we’ll be back on top of the AL West.

Thumb up 3 Thumb down 0

Bod Selig May 28, 2012 20:36Reply

Let’s not lose track of just who is paying who to do what, and where that money comes from. Whether it’s sending one Gonzales to Boston for peanuts, or another to Oakland in exchange for peanuts, I’m sending you all that free money every year so that you welfare teams do what I think is in the best interests of baseball.

Don’t worry Billy, this trade with Washington has worked out just the way I hoped. I’ll be sure and throw in a little extra in Oakland’s welfare check this year so you can get a nice bonus. I’ll send the bill to the Yankees, as always.
