Yanks drop two out of three to Cincinnati, and are approaching the AL East basement.
And Arod’s power continues to evaporate:
Did he keep the receipt on that Kobe Bryant surgery?

Where’s the beef, Alex?

Come on….did you really expect me to do something in my pinch hit at bat? LOL
Eric Chavez May 20, 2012 17:00
You should be my backup….as long as I can stay healthy LOL!
Nick Johnson May 20, 2012 17:38
Staying healthy is harder than it sounds. I would know. Speaking of which, I just broke my pinky finger while typing up this post
Justin Louis Chamberlain May 21, 2012 17:44
Oh, it’s easy! Just stay away from sliders and trampolines!
Brandon May 20, 2012 16:59
Why the fuck didn’t Girardi pull CC when he gave up two HRs to tie the game and walked two men to load the bases? His pitch count was up the ass, and he was gassed. Yet another loss that you could pin on our brilliant skipper.
DormantUlcer May 20, 2012 22:38
Because he’s CC Sabathia against the fucking Reds. You can replay that scenario 100 more times, and he’d never walk 3 guys straight like that again. This one is on the players.
ARod May 21, 2012 08:31
What about me?
Home Run Trot May 21, 2012 13:19

Firesale May 20, 2012 17:20
If we are .500 and in fourth or last place in mid July I say we have a good old fashioned firesale. Swisher, Martin, Kuroda, and Pettitte are pending UFA’s that could bring in some decent prospects/young players. Jones, Chavez might bring in middling prospects but could still fetch something. We could use the firesale to dump Soriano and his salary on a team in need of a closer. Hughes can’t find success in New York and we could get something decent for him. Cashman needs to decide if Cano and Granderson are in the teams’ long term plans very soon. Do we really want to pay two more players in their mid thirties big dollars? If not, they could each bring in some top prospects (especially Cano).
Derrrrrrrr May 20, 2012 20:57
Yeah, because I’m sure Pettitte came back to be traded. I’m pretty sure he would just retire again.
No sure if your post was sarcastic or not.
Firesale May 20, 2012 21:08
He came back to compete for another ring. Something it looks like he won’t be able to do on the Yankees.
Nick Social May 20, 2012 22:44
It’s too early to be talking about this shit.

You *still* can’t take a walk to save your life. You’re AAAA so far, asshole.
Saul Goodman May 21, 2012 05:54
You’re gonna be good, but you’re not yet. The Yankees would still suck right now if you were on the team.

Uh Nomaas anytime you want to take down the ridiculous Montero graphic feel free to do so. Does anyone trust the management of this team anymore?

About the only bat playing with heart on this freaking team…
AceHole May 20, 2012 19:49
Heart? More like thnk the lord for the right porch
Nick Social May 20, 2012 22:46
His HR’s have been bombs.
Negrodamus May 21, 2012 02:21
You realize his home run distances (with one exception) have been excellent, right?
AceHole May 21, 2012 09:10
Grandersons too, yet they only seem to hit them at home cause they are assholes
Jim Leyritz's Cellmate May 21, 2012 15:10
Watching the game on gamecast, eh?
He’s got the second highest line drive rate on the team and is pretty much in the top five of all offensive peripheral categories.
Oh, and we were expecting nothing from him. Hence my comment about heart. He’s playing well above what he should be and deserves a little credit for it. I don’t think he’ll keep it up, but I’m thankful for what he’s doing.
Jim Leyritz's Cellmate May 21, 2012 15:15
Hell, if you don’t believe me… sort the various categories for the advanced metrics.

Sounds like an rab writer protesting too much.
Fact is, everybodies talking about it, even the shill’s on Yes.
Christ, Kay makes mention of it when Arod’s leading off, and guess who’s swinging on th 1st pitch to pop out.
Arod’s ineffectivness is a legitimate topic.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia May 20, 2012 20:33
The problem with your team is that it has too many hispanics on it.
Robinson Cano May 21, 2012 17:51
Only on Jes!
2008 May 20, 2012 21:11

Oh…wait…..

Leigh Teixeira May 20, 2012 22:30
Hey Joey,
Why don’t you just shut up and swallow your sad pills?
DormantUlcer May 20, 2012 22:50
Joey Votto looks like Eric Bana when he turns into the Hulk in that movie… shit, can’t remember the name of it.
Saul Goodman May 21, 2012 05:56
Obviously. Whoever the hell your backup is > Teixeira.

If I had $200 million to spend I’d never lose a game.

The beef is between my tranny stripper girlfriend’s legs
NoMaas May 21, 2012 09:16
if we had $200 million we would never ever lose a game
first i would push LF wall back so Ibanez could have more room to catch them while gardner is out.
I would then trade ivan nova and manny banuelos to clevland for Ubaldo Jimenez
Move granderson to right and trade for reed johnson to play CF
trade chavez to the O’s for nick Johnson cause he gets on base
I know so cause +RC and his BB/RPSDE% equals his total value in PPC and TKD %

Another Lupica article on Sunday mentioning the contracts we give out. Will that twerp ever be happy ?!
The Truth May 21, 2012 15:30
Yes while he igonores the assholes in queens who gave out contracts to Delgado, Jason Bay, Does he evem own a glove at this point, Pedro who spent most of his time in queens on the DL and Carlos “Statue of Liberty” Beltran. Hey Lupica how much Wilpnn paying you to ignore him?
Duh May 21, 2012 09:50
I’m pretty sure that no team, regardless of payroll, can be even moderately successful when two of their biggest bats (A-Rod and Tex) just plain suck right now. When your team is being carried by Raul Ibanez, you are in trouble. They just collectively suck, despite a standout here or there. Suck. And as they age, it is only going to get worse, I’m afraid. So, no, it’s not Girardi’s fault. And while you can’t expect Tex and A-Rod to produce career years any more, you can certainly expect them to hit above .250 with some power and to, you know, get a hit from time to time with runners in scoring position. Forget the pitching … this isn’t the national league … guys are going to give up runs. We just need to score more than 2 per game, and we’re not. Collectively pathetic.
Ritardi Losses:3 May 21, 2012 10:50
The amazing thing is, you must think that your posts are profound and that no one has thought of your angle before.
Your posts and your ideas are the worst, forget pitching?
Ritardi Losses:4 May 21, 2012 10:58
Sorry, that should be four after dummy left CC in after he had completely lost it.
Binder rule #674f: If a pitcher is considered a “horse” you must leave him in for at least 120 pitches regardless of results.
Routine Groundball May 21, 2012 11:59
Maybe we’d be better if our hitters hit, and our pitchers were also able to pitch… maybe.
Joe Morgan May 21, 2012 17:54
Generally, I tried to put the bat on the ball and then I would run to first and I’m in the Hall of Fame today.
Cashman May 21, 2012 09:56
Remember how stealthy and ninja like it was when I stole Pineda from the Mariners and signed Kuroda in the same night? Im still the man!
Jordany Valdespin May 21, 2012 10:31
Get your own catchphrase, right now!
mike May 21, 2012 14:29
Did you see the game yesterday? That ball was definitely gone any other time if the wind wasn’t blowing in. Arod knew he hit it.
like girardi says, it doesn’t matter if he only has 25-30 homers as long as the RBIs are there. And he is right, i would not be surprised to see Arod go on a nice HR stretch.
Yeah May 21, 2012 15:08
25-30 home runs would be nice. But he’s on pace for 18.
mike May 21, 2012 15:19
i hope he can put a string together.
it would sure be nice if he started taking advantage of the stadium right field porch and driving balls to right like he has always done.
CJ May 21, 2012 16:16
As long as the RBIs are there? So he can hit .250 with a .400 SLG and you’d be OK with that if he has RBIs?
mike May 21, 2012 17:01
he is hitting .280 which is great. Yeah definitely, that’s the key, to produce runs, whether homers or any run producing hit.
he is hitting 4th so we need him to drive in runs.
Why all this Arod talk anyway he’s the man and will be fine
Cashman May 21, 2012 17:03
That contract. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!11
NoPullsipher May 21, 2012 18:32
Us at NoPullsipher.org dont care that our GM reads our blog, we rip him every time he does a stupid move and when our team suck, (which is most of the time) we rip him to pieces.
Jay Destro May 22, 2012 16:02
