Haters. Just because I can snap a bat with my bite.
I decided to try a different routine. I now snap beef bones before a game. The fish heads were getting too many complaints from ARod and Jeter. They said the smell turned them on too much.
So if he lost these two starts what would the response be? It’s called building confidence, which lets face it he still needs to do. Hopefully this is the start of something.
You know? I feel comfortable with Rapada on the mound with the bases loaded and the game on the line. Given the same situation? I would do it again, absolutely.
The team you are facing has zero control over the quality of pitches, both the pitch selection and the actual location. He located well and executed very well. You want to make the case that a better hitting team would have put more bats on the ball, produced better quality hits … fine. But unlike in previous starts where he basically had no idea where the ball was going, this is a major improvement and as someone else mentioned, something to build upon.

I’m an editor of RAB and the last time I posted was May 3rd! I love being daddy’s little boy, getting credit for the stuff that Mike and Joe steal

Stop gassing me up after the mow down shitty line ups!
Fangraphs May 13, 2012 02:46
The Royals are actually a good hitting team. And every pitcher in baseball gets to face a team like the Mariners once in a while to pad their stats.
Braden Holtby May 13, 2012 12:10
Right. Hughes and Verlander both faced the Mariners this week. Hughes fared better. Nothing’s automatic.

Yah know, John, yah can’t predict baseball.

So 2 decent starts against the Royals and the Mariners. Lets not start sucking each other’s dicks just yet
Buck Showalter May 13, 2012 03:33
That was disrespectful to Flanny.

But so what his starts were against the Royals and Mariners. The question is: Should he stay in the rotation or not?
Yoda May 13, 2012 08:03
Pads his stats against pathetic teams does he.

Don’t worry skip. Righties only have an OPS over 1.100 against me in my career. I’ll get em next time.
Kevin Millwood May 13, 2012 19:15
So the Yankees have tackled aces like David Price, Justin Verlander and Felix Hernandez but can’t manage to figure ME out?! LOL
