It’s Joe Girardi’s fault that Clay Rapada can’t throw a ball 67 feet. Rapada should get raped by a guy with AIDS.

Why Panic? June 29, 2012 11:11Reply

Why all the noise over a shitty little loss to Chicago in June? We have a decent lead now, even with major injuries. We will be a much better team later on, assuming good health, and we have a damn good chance to win #28.

We are forbidden from a quick moan & groan when a pitcher who can throw strikes can’t throw a ball anywhere near second base during a crucial part of the game?

Are we living in China or something?

I love my wife & I love the Yankees. Unlike that piece of shit Cashman who pays for abortions. Remember this piece of shit didn’t want Soriano?

Shouldn’t that been the tip off that we NEED to sign a guy. If abortion boy
doesn’t want him?

Also why did Cashman say the Yankees won’t go out of the system to get pitching help – when he clearly went out of his family system for some whore to knock up – then abort – then forget to sign knuckle whiz RA Dickey.

The team dodged a bullet the night before, didn’t see anyone complain then.
Rapada, should however take a shower with a razor blade just in case he get’s an idea.
The only thing that makes me not lose my mind is the amount of times you see that particular play fucked up.
Even Mo’ in ’01 out in Ari.

The Truth June 29, 2012 05:55Reply

Everyone in the division lost so it’s not that bad. But still Rapada gets the brunt of the blame for not being able to perform a fundamental task like throwing a ball. Plus someone should have drilled Youk last night for old times sake.

Where’s the dope that has been defending Joe Dumb now? Would anyone in their right mind ever use Eppley and Crapada in the ninth inning of a close game, when the best non closer in the game is available?

Thumb up 4 Thumb down 3

The Truth June 29, 2012 06:41Reply

Hindsight is 20/20, again if a basic fundamental play is made we are not having this discussion. Also maybe if the Yanks scored A-Rod in the fourth when he led off with a double the game would have been tied. Enough!! It’s the first time something like this has happened in a while.

Thumb up 6 Thumb down 3

Ritardi Losses:5 June 29, 2012 08:38Reply

It is not hindsight when everyone watching the game, except you, couldn’t see a reason that Robertson shouldn’t have started the ninth. You dick around with your back of the bullpen relievers in blowouts not close games.

Thumb up 3 Thumb down 7

Smart Guy June 29, 2012 08:52Reply

So when Robertson gets into trouble and out of trouble hes Houdini, great fireman who gets out of jams.

When he serves a homerun like a bitch its Girardis fault for not starting the inning with robertson.

From LoHud

“Basically, Girardi said that he decided to mix and match in the ninth inning rather than use Robertson for the second consecutive day.”

and “I should have been bringing him in with two outs…”

Unless The Truth’s definition of hindsight is “I got my head stuck so far up my ass I need to use a fucking periscope,” Robertson should have started the inning. Not only was he going to pitch ANYWAY, he was also going to be used for ONE OUT.

As good as Girardi’s been with getting the most out of his bullpen, he fucked up on this one.

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 2

Smart Guy June 29, 2012 15:12Reply

and you would be playing with your cock instead of typing had rapada turned the double play or Robertson gotten viciedo out.

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 3

Jim Leyritz's Cellmate June 29, 2012 08:23Reply

Can we shelve the Ritardi shit for a little while? The bullpen has been one of the team’s greatest assets this year and the guy does deserve some credit for that.

Shit happens sometimes and the game fell apart when Rapada air-mailed a routine throw. Hell, that happened to Mo in the fucking World Series once so this is hardly that bad.

Finally, someone with a brain on this site. If you can’t see why we needed to win the game without using Robertson you are dumb. Oh wait, there is no reason to try to keep Robertson out of the game other than that Girardi tries to make everyone think he is smart? I guess that makes me dumb as shit. Oh, everyone already knew that?

seeing as tonight warren pitches and garcia has to start for andy i can understand with a tired soriano trying to save robertson and not pitch him, people just like to complain after every loss and they want to be internet managers.

Most of you who do complain would eventually run into moves that dont work out and then everyon here would be laughing at your dumb ass moves

Duh June 29, 2012 10:03Reply

Huh? The only game that matters is the game you are playing today. Start thinking about tomorrow or the next day and you are doomed to fail miserably. Seize the opportunity to win TODAY. That’s not to suggest that you are going to bring in tomorrow’s starter to close a game or anything silly, as it is a long season, but to not bring your best pitcher into a 2-run game to close it out is silly. Yes, I fully realize that if the dumbass could have made a simple throw to 2nd base, it would be moot, so I’m certainly not blaming the loss on Girardi, whose bullpen management has been very good. I’m simply stating that Robertson should have started the 9th. Bigger lead, then no. Whatever, it happens. And, who knows, maybe D-Rob will be needed in a critical spot tonight in the 7th and we’ll be happy to have him.

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 1

Joeybagonuts June 29, 2012 17:58Reply

Except he threw 600 pitches last night anyway so he is not available tonight. Which is why saving him, then using him anyway < just using him to begin with.

I was against the save stat from the beginning. I know I supported and instituted the save stat in the International League, but that was because I support the right of each league to make their own choices. As a rule, the save stat is wrong only when implemented as a whole but great if a league decides to implement it on its own.

Also, I will suck dick for votes. You ever suck dick for marijuana? Well, have you?

Yes it SHOULD have worked out but I thought at the time Girardi was being too cute with all this mixing and matching, just go with your best pitcher, thats always the preferred option.

on a side note, these pitchers never seem to be able to throw to second, do they ever work on this crap?

still a bad move June 29, 2012 17:15Reply

just because it wouldve worked out does not make it a good move, even if Rapada does make the throw it doesnt justify the move, it was the wrong move period, the fact that CC and Andy are hurt means we HAVE to seize ay opportunity to win games because they may not be so easy to come by. Girardi likes to overmanage,. Hes good with the pen in the sense that he builds trust and he doesnt overwork guys or give up on guys after one bad outing like shiit for brains Torre, but last night is a no brainer, thats when you want the Torres of the world so they dont think about it, just put in D rob,

You could even see as Kay was commenting on Girardi “having fun” with the pen since he doesnt have the automatic Mo, and Pinella (another simple thinking manager) said “Id rather have the automatic”

I didnt realize girardi was getting paid to “have fun” I thought he was getting paid to win games.
