Despite injuries to all their key players, the Red Sox have been a force to be reckoned with throughout the course of the 2012 season, locked in a heated battle with Toronto for last place in the AL East. This weekend they will defy all logic and reclaim first place from the despised Evil Empire. They will finish the rest of the season 122-40, getting the most out of their smalltime acquisitions, such as Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford and Andrew Bailey. Meanwhile, I sit at home getting smalltime acquisitions from my boyfriend’s penis.

This weekend in a magical ballpark in America’s most diverse & beautiful city there will be two teams playing. Two teams but one story. That story is in the home team’s dugout. The Red Sox are starting to buy into Bobby Valentine. Yes they are coming off a miserable road trip, but this team looks ready to take off. Like the great Red Sox teams of 04 & 07. Led by Big Papi, who is again hitting home runs that count. Led by gritty players liek Cody Ross and Pedroia who is twice the player Robbie Cano is. Led by a great closer “Ace” Aceves. THis team is ready to impose it’s will on the American League. Yankees watch out. Roger Clemens is no more innocent than Snooki. Tiger Woods still has a lot to prove. David Wright you can stay.
