Teixeira’s response though leaves a lot to be desired though. I hear all the time about hitters are powerless to counter attack headhunting. When I played legion(not very well)my coach told us, if we really wanted to get back at a pitcher, drop a bunt down the 1st base line and when he was forced to field the ball, run him over while he’s in the act of fielding.
Now I’ve given that some thought since, and I’ve heard “assaulting” a pitcher like that was wrong because he’s defenseless. I respond that so’s the batter when he’s gotta make a decision on whether a ball is going to hit him between the time the pitcher releases it and when it get’s to him, he’s defenseless too.
What it all boils down too is most Baseball players are physical cowards, sorry, but there it is. And in reality, the specter of injury and the end of a lucrative income has to have a huge factor in the decision. If that’s the case though, shut the fuck up and take the pitch. If your sick of getting hit quit acting like a pussy and stomp the motherfucker.

He looked so surprised when he saw that hit was going fair. I am happy for him though he seems like a good guy, just having a shitty year. hope he turns it around, since we gave up the best hitting prospect we’ve had in a long time for two bum arms.
I would have ruled Martin’s hit a foul ball. He needs to learn some respect, and how learn respect is to have authority figures lie and cheat all up on you.
