If we had $200 million to burn, the Yankees would never lose a game.

Doh!

I’ve still hit enough to win a gold glove.

If it makes you feel any better, no way the binder uses Mo in the ninth.

too bad gardner is out for the year…he would be ohh i dunno a slight upgrade in center

but binder wont switch the too…granderson has more experience in center which means he is clearly a better fielder than gardner

Remember that in spite of me, the tie would have been preserved if Soriano hadn’t walked boy wonder.

Also, what’s the deal with the Yankees pitching staff allowing Ciriaco to own them with nary a brushback.

When is the last time you saw the Yankees ‘brushback’ a hitter? They don’t even retaliate after seeing four of their batters get hit (and one injured) within two games.

C’mon guys. You know that’s not the classy way to play the game. That’s why I didn’t have anyone bunt against Schilling. Read about it in my upcoming book, “Classy-ball”

You are usually smarter than that, Smart Guy. Not a thing wrong with CC. They just lost one of the 60 to 65 games that they will lose this year. Nothing to fret about.

Brian S. July 28, 2012 23:20Reply

I think you have to consider starting Andy Pettitte in game 1 and make CC the second or third starter in the playoffs.

1st: Why does Girardi have Stewart bunt down by three in the fifth inning? Granted, Stewart sucks even with the HR, but why waste an out? 2nd: Why the PH for Nix but not Martin against the RHP? We ended up losing the DH! 3rd: Why so quick to go to Soriano, especially when he walked Ellsbury. Should have brought Logan/Rapada in to get him. Girardi sucks

Thumb up 4 Thumb down 5

Smart Guy July 29, 2012 00:15Reply

girardi wouldnt be in that position if sabathia didnt come up short like he always does on games that are considered big market games, the redsox could be in last place but they still draw the rivalry factor and the big media, i mean phil hughes sucks at yankee stadium yet he only allowed 3 solo shots vs this pathetic team and sabathia i dont know but he loses his balls when it comes to these marque games

Smart Guy, you’re the only dumbass who cares about “big market games”. The Red Sox are a last place team and we are 6-2 against them.

Isn’t Tex’s success against this asshole the reason the plunking started in the first place? After watching him hit a triple in Shitway Park and take his ass yard last night me think the next time Tex sees father of the year, Bobby V will issue the intentional pass.
