Remember my post about remembering how in love NOMAAS was about loving Ivan Nova? I believe they wrote that when he had an over 5 ERA & they calmly said don’t worry & he promptly had a fantastic month.
However the thing is this – when you get a over 5 era at any point during the season chances are- you fucking suck moose cock no matter what stat you are looking at xFIP or FART.
Time to move on from this guy – We will not win a championship with Nova in the rotation.
Remember those sweet, warm New England summers? Remember sipping lemonade underneath a shady tree? Remember when you hit that pedestrian with your car at the crosswalk and then just drove away? Pepperidge Farm remembers, but Pepperidge Farm ain’t just gonna keep it to Pepperidge Farm’s self free of charge. Maybe you go out and buy yourself some of these distinctive Milano cookies, maybe this whole thing disappears.
Not yet, but I maintain that the team has looked like ass the last couple of weeks. They’ve managed to lose by failing, at different times, in each aspect of the game (poor starting pitching, poor relief, poor offense, poor defense). They’ll turn it around, but the year is becoming more interesting than it should have.
It’s true, they are hitting a bad stretch here… but I agree with Leyritz Cellmate on this. Looks like the team is finding ways to fail, but considering how transient the rost has been with injuries. I don’t know, I think (and hope) we will pull this together.

Looks like it’s up to me in the playoffs bitches!
I’ll serve these bitches like Mike Trout and Josh Hamilton.
Greinke??? He had panic attacks in Kansas City! Your idea of going all-in on Greinke is about as good as the idea of me drinking and deciding to drive home that night and not wear my seatbelt in 1989!

His panic attacks haven’t stopped him from being one of the best pitchers in baseball every season. And now he’s in a big market in Los Angeles.
I understand that Los Angeles might be a large market…but it isn’t NEW YORK! Players don’t get near the scrutiny and pressure in Southern Cali that they get in NY…Imagine if Pujols had that slow start with the Yankees, not only would alcohol consumption in NY had gone up considerably but people would have been jumping off bridges!
Anyone else miss the old days when George would make a big splash at the deadline and spend whatever it took and not worry about some 189 million dollar limit. Instead now we keep all these “great prospects” till they flame out and we get nothing. But we do save money!!!! Sometimes I worry we have gone too much looking at the future as opposed to looking at the present.
I am with you, Sol. Lots of misplaced venom toward Cash and particularly Joe. If there is any venom about a team that is comfortably in first place, it should be directed at the two little SteinPukeDeuches.
Seems like a team with a payroll the size of a country’s GNP & Mitt Romney’s chump change should be ahead by 25 games. I will have a 3 page article out tomorrow on how this collapse and Mitt Romney, son of the devil .
Thank God they dumped Chad Qualls before the trade deadline; he almost felt like the second coming of Scott Proctor. Casey McGehee isn’t incredible, but he can help fill those spots at 3rd and 1st, which right now we desperately need filled. Smart trade.

Remember when NOMAAS was telling us don’t worry he doesn’t really suck because all these advanced metrics just say bad luck?
They said look at those K rates!
sometimes you have to wake up to realize that is a QS% of 51 means you fucking suck moose cock & can’t handle the AL Beast.

Hey, playoffs are a given because of our huge lead. Right?
When this team looks bad, they really look bad.
CJ July 31, 2012 23:01
Losing a bunch of 1-run games (not this one obviously) doesn’t seem like a reason to panic.

OR August 1, 2012 19:38
Arod being out of the lineup changes things a lot more than one might think
Ichiro August 1, 2012 09:48
Yes- I hit 6 in season. Slug less than Eduardo Nunez. On base less than Jayson Nix. Japanese baseball!
Ichi August 1, 2012 11:15
But I hit SAKE BOMB in previous game into right field! 100 HRS!!!!!
Stupid Guy August 1, 2012 08:22
We hit too many homers! You win games by hitting singles and doubles! Ichiro is teh perfect hitter!

I know I should have tried harder on Dempster, but what can I say there was this 40 year old MILF who wanted my Jizz.
Mark Teixeira's Horse Face August 1, 2012 08:57
Dear Brian:
If you wanted to go after Dempster, you should have gone all-in on Greinke instead. He’s much much better than Dempster.
