And knowing is half the battle.
After his complete game two-hit shutout against the potent Rangers, Hiroki Kuroda now has a 3.06 ERA / 3.71 FIP / 3.69 xFIP. Who says pitchers can’t come over from the National League?

I could have sworn Nomaas has said that on numerous occasions.

Sage advice, while I’m at the clinic getting a breast job for one of my girls and putting a hit on Brian Jr. I love USA! I personally can tell you that that pitchers from the NL can’t hack it in the AL…he’s not a pitcher, he’s a samurai warrior! Ok I got to go because I’m about to drop another unprotected load into one of Jeter’s Beaters.
The Truth August 14, 2012 23:07
Nomaas I am dissapointed, after the SOx get shit on by Yahoo no mention at all. Cmon Man.
Derek Jeter August 14, 2012 23:14
Go to Boston Dirt Dogs for the commentary on the Red Sox. Now listen up! I’m twelve hits away from Steady Eddie. Sure he crushed 300 or so more bombs than me BUT I crushed about 300 or so more cherries than him. So it evens things out. Even Yahoo sports mentions my climb into the historic region of all time hits!

Tradenickswisher August 15, 2012 10:46
right here douche bag
Last night was nice but when he goes 1 for 20 in the first round of another playoff loss with 12 k’s lets see what stats you use to make excuses
Tradenickswisher August 15, 2012 10:56
get aids please
Joe Páwlikowski August 15, 2012 15:25
I thought I had aids but it was just herpes.
Run Support August 14, 2012 23:36
If the Yankees offense would like to let Kuroda have one easy game once in a while it’d be nice. He’s had terrible run support all year and could have thrust him into the Cy Young race if he’d been a little luckier on the nights he pitched.
Man August 15, 2012 00:06
The fact that he needs run support to win a Cy Young is such a shame. But you know writers will look at his eventual 15-10 record (currently 11-8) and conclude that he was “a good mid rotation starter” despite a 3 ERA and FIP just higher than that.
Zack Greinke & Felix Hernadez August 15, 2012 01:33
He won’t win CY because he isn’t as good as Verlander not because of the win total but go to sleep thinking it’s the writers fault

Wow it’s so cool to discuss vacations with Michael & Paul!!!! Tune it to Dish Nation on MY9 in September!!! Now back to the 2 best teams in the American League…..

Your Answer August 14, 2012 23:51
“Who says pitchers can’t come over from the National League?”
You did NoMaas, when Kuroda got signed. Saying he was too old, from the NL West, his ERA won’t translate, etc. You did NoMaas, earlier in the year, when he wasn’t as lights out as he is now.
It’s beyond comical how NoMaas damns everyone and then tries to cover their ass with articles like this, when they are dead wrong.
Fuckin' A August 14, 2012 23:53
Nuff said.
Man August 15, 2012 00:07
I’m pretty sure Nomaas actually liked the Kuroda signing, but it was overshadowed by their joy of the Pineda acquisition.
Nope August 15, 2012 00:10
Evidence already provided. Read above, then scroll back in the archive to Kuroda’s signing date.
Fugghetaboutit August 15, 2012 00:12
Dude, that was obviously someone from NoMaas posting that, so don’t even waste your breath.
Evidence August 15, 2012 00:22
How about you do it for me if you are so sure?

So it turns out that “Your Answer” was completely wrong.
Pete C.'s relative August 15, 2012 10:24
I have evidence that Pete C is “your answer”. Of course, I got this evidence while picking up Levine’s curly pubes from the bathroom floor at his office.
Wrong Again August 15, 2012 14:17
That’s the article that plays the positive side. Now, go pick from multiple other ones where they bash him. To make it easy for you, I recommend any of the articles from earlier in the year when Kuroda was not pitching well. Remember, THINK before you speak… or type.
“For the fool speaks folly, his mind is busy with evil.” -Isaiah 32:6
Serious question August 15, 2012 14:52
Are you as dumb as you sound?
Alfredo Griffin August 15, 2012 14:53
So nomaas called the signing a “fantastic signing” at the time the Yankees got him and somehow you think they bashed it? Can you not read?
Yankee Fan August 15, 2012 15:59
i think he was saying to read the other articles about kuroda they posted after he started pitching like shit. there definitely were some, you guys should remember, it wasn’t that long ago. his whole point is that nomaas always plays one side and then the other later to cover their ass.
BC August 15, 2012 09:36
@ Your answer — please tell me what part of nomaas’ initial analysis about the signing said he would suck.
In other words, the Yankees got a solid 2-3 starter yesterday — for a very fair price and only committed to one season. Fantastic signing.
NM Comments August 15, 2012 01:37
None of the comments were against it either
so who exactly was saying he can’t be good?
but a careful observation shows that TEXAS was bailing him out on a lot of shit off the plate
that wont happen in october
or as nick swisher calls it “i suck cocktober”
Phil Hughes August 15, 2012 06:02
Big whoop.
Watch this!
Swish August 15, 2012 07:13
Man, I’m just trying to get a pitch I can drive somewhere, man! I was able to get good wood on it, man, and drove the ball deep man! Man, that Texas bullpen are flame throwers, man! Thanks man, take care bro!

It was a good signin’, dat’s true. But othah teams have bettah fahm (farm) systems. Take da Nittany Lions, fah instance. They’re been stacked in the minors fah years. Dey really cherish their young talent at Penn State.

In case ya didn’t know I’ve been on vacation, so ya gettin five houhs (hours) a day of Joe Beningo, who WFAN hired upon losin’ a bet. He went tah da Cahnetticut School of Broadcastin’… which I think is da same school dat gave Dr. Nick Riviera his medical license.

Kuroda has been slanting in the right direction since May.
Taiwanese man August 15, 2012 10:22
Did you rearry have to Photoshop Kuroda’s eyes into that picture? You do know arr our eyes rook the same right?
Marylin Cassellii From Con Ed August 15, 2012 12:22
Remembah, conserve powah by restin your pitchas and bullpen, thats what Kuroder did last nite by conservin da bullpen for Garciar and Fil Yews statrs.
