Soriano blew it in top of the 9th, allowing a 3-run HR and relinquishing the Yankees lead. Jeter continued his power renaissance by hitting a game-tying HR in the bottom of the ninth. However, a couple of sloppy plays lost the game for the Yankees in the 11th, with Derek Lowe committing an error on a pickoff attempt and then Jayson Nix questionably not looking back the runner at 3B on a groundball.

And oh yeah, Teixeira got hurt — out 1-2 weeks.

Baltimore creeps back into 2nd place with Tampa loss, and now sits 3.5 games behind New York.
