You’ll find out next yeah (year) when ay come to tha American League. They’ll beat up ya triple-A pitchin’ and then sleepwalk through da playoffs again.
Should have pinch hit Swisher for Ibanez, that would have taken some balls- the Matusz HR notwithstanding, Ibanez sucks against lefties. I think the TBS crew would have shit their pants.
Honestly every hitter on this team should give their playoff share to the pitching staff. This is fucking disgusting & inexcusable. Girardi, I don’t give a fuck if your father just passed, your hnadling of this lineup has been indefensible. You want to yank Swisher fine, Alex deserved better. When do you sit Granderson, who is basically a fucking wind tunnel with the amount of strikeouts. Cano, you ever gonna jump him about his lack of hustle? As for actual strategy like a bunt or. A hit & run, right that’s not who we are. No you are a impotent bunch of pussies about to get swept because of your lack of fundamentals, go to hell.
Swisher, Granderson, and Long need to go. Too bad you’re not finding a suitor for A-Rod. Bring back Ichiro to play RF and see if you can get a reasonable deal for Bourn or BJ Upton as a stopgap to hope Austin, Mason, etc come soon.
Services will be held at New Yankee Stadium on Thursday Oct 18 immediately following the clearing of the lockers. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make donations to the Kevin Long unemployment fund.
The lineup is a nonfactor because the bottom line is they can’t score any runs, any. Lineup controversy is just an outlet for people to be angry, because let’s face it, everyone is angry with this team right now (pitching staff notwithstanding). How many runs have they scored in this series, how many that didn’t come via a homer? A big fat fucking zero, that’s how many. Now if they actually hit homers at a decent pace it wouldn’t be so bad, but they’ve scored five runs this entire series. Five runs in 30 innings, with four of those coming in one inning. That makes the Padres look like the 1999 Cleveland Indians.
I’m not sure what all this other gobbledygook is about, but its obvious that the price of tickets at the new stadium has affected the Yankees offense in Detroit.
If the stadium brass would lower prices by tomorrow, I’m sure the entire lineup would hit over .300!
Too much hate on this site. I’ll be rooting for the Yanks too. Off this site now.

I’m amazed at how defeated people have been this year – going all the way back to August. I don’t think half of the fans even deserve a comeback at this point!
Don’t worry…my track record of scouting and developing young talent will ensure the New York Yankees’ line-ups of the future will be full of young, vibrant, athletic hitters and strong, injury-free pitchers that stay in peak physical condition.

You guys are down, 3–0, after last night’s loss, and, in this sport, that is an official death sentence. Soon it will be over, and you guys will spend another dreary winter lamenting this and lamenting that.
Sorry, but the treatment of Alex has become a personal vendetta for the Cashman-Girardi duo. To not play him last night as some sort of moral stand, due to some fucking NY Post story is pretty offensive. Especially from the GM who chasing 40 year old pussy & arranging abortions on the Yankees dime. Please Nomaas defend the Ninja, Cashomney as some fake ass wanna be gangsta who is the baddest man in the world. No he’s a limp dicked pussy and his manager is as spineless as they come.
They are going to run his sorry ass out of town, which is fine with me. They will bench him until he demands to be traded, then eat what they have to, maybe 80% or something like that. Adams will be given the first chance at 3B.
I am outraged that a man-child who has been coddled his entire life, including by me and the Yankees, acted like a child when we punished him like a child! I thought this developmentally arrested, mentally weak person would act like a man when we benched him!
Hold on, get me planned parenthood don the line, I’ve got some more bad news.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! The sky is falling! I have to panic! whatdoido, whatdoido?! Listen to the brain dead morons on talk radio and make lineup changes! Yeah yeah that will work! Bench my players, that will get us a win! Yeah yeah, I need to manage harder to get us to win! Small ball! I heard Steve from bayside say we needed to play small ball! More Gardy and Chavey!
Is this a surprise to anyone? Really? All season long, they’ve lived for the long ball. And for months we’ve all been saying that when they face good pitching in a short series and aren’t hitting home runs, they were doomed. Guess what? They’re facing good pitching in a short series and they aren’t hitting home runs … thus they are down 3. Frankly, they should have lost the O’s series and shouldn’t even be here. This is not shocking, we’ve seen it all year. What truly sucks is that they’ve gotten unbelievably good pitching throughout … and yet it has gone to waste. To win in the post season, you need to manufacture runs … they can’t even string two hits together, let alone score creatively. They were done before they started and without Jeter, it’s even worse. Grandy and Swish need to go, but we’re stuck with A-Rod. And did anybody else see Cano smiling in the dugout late in the game? Really?
What is surprising to everyone except debbie downers like yourself is that we have been beating good pitchers all year. Now you want to classify the scrubs we have faced up to Verlander as “good pitching” that our lucky sluggers have no chance against. Its a big ugly slump plain and simple.

We’ll get ‘em tomorrow boys, the offense will wake up, Alex will go 4-4, Gardner will steal 30 bases and Swisher will spot start and give us 9 shutout innings. Cash is a genius, don’t feed the trolls.
Staying positive, if the Yankees had hit even just a LITTLE BIT, they’d easily be up 2-1. Fister wasn’t dominant, he was kinda all over the place. Sanchez is a bum who got lucky going against a bunch of headcases putting too much pressure on themselves. Verlander is Verlander, can’t do much there, but they still kept it close and had the go-aheads on in the end. If they can ride CC to a 1-0 victory at the very least, then the Tigers rotation starts over. They’ve seen these guys and what they have. Let Fister beat himself, luck runs out (Baltimore), and best case it goes to 7, Verlander comes back on short rest after throwing 130+. Against CC.
Staying realistic, if the hitting hasn’t come yet, why would it at this point.
The Yankees have an opportunity. They can prove to everyone, including themselves, who they really are as ball players. And they can erase the historic black mark of the franchise that was 2004. All they need to do is hit, A LITTLE BIT.
(Of course, god forbid this series finds its way back to the Stadium, Yanks may get distracted by the cricket sounds again. It was mentioned, and it’s actually sickeningly true: Yankee Stadium fans don’t deserve a comeback.)
Its looking like a small market team will win the WS this year and a cash strapped incumbent President will run away with the hearts of America to a 2nd term because he can connect with the average Joe. And I don’t mean Girardi. Who is over paid.
