Tiger ace Justin Verlander, 29, is dating Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton, 20, their proud grandparents confirmed over the weekend.
“[Kate] was at his first game in Detroit against Oakland,” the curvy bombshell’s grandfather, Stephen, told Celebuzz. “She has all of our support.”
Verlander’s grandfather made it clear he thinks it’s Upton who scored the home run by locking down his grandson.
“I heard he has been on dates with a Sports Illustrated girl. I saw a photo — she’s beautiful,” Richard Verlander Sr. told the gossip Web site. “They make a good-looking pair because he’s a good-looking man, too.
