Why would they negotiate with Cano now? After this past post-season, they’re doing the right thing in waiting. Let him go out and have a monster year again, and then we’ll talk. The prevailing logic that his price is lower now is ludicrous. Two bad years/post-seasons in a row, however, would significantly change that.
