…but isn’t it WHEN you use the IBB, not how often?
Tie game, bottom of the ninth, two outs, runner on second, first base open, Delmon Young in the playoffs at the plate.. By all means, walk him.
First inning, opening day, two outs, Carlos Pena on deck, if the manager calls for an intentional walk you promote the bench coach and start a managerial search.
