To the naked eye and with the stats to back it up, Robinson Cano was clearly the Yankees’ Most Valuable Player in 2013. With a WAR of 6.0, no one else on the club was even close.

On the flipside, it’s interesting to note who the Yankees’ Least Most Valuable Player was.

That distinction goes to El Fenomeno, Eduardo Nunez.

With a -1.4 WAR, the Heir to Derekā„¢ was the 7th-worst player in all of MLB this season (for players with a minimum of 300 plate apperances)

In fact, over 270 games and 827 PA in his big league career, Nunez now has a -1.9 WAR total. In other words, he has actually cost the team wins.
