For an organization rife with problems in drafting and development, we have yet to see any changes that attempt to fix the situation. In fact, the only “change” the Yankees made this offseason was to fire their strength & conditioning coach. That’s the ticket!

It was originally speculated that minor league head Mark Newman and draft “guru” Damon Oppenheimer would lose their jobs, but that has not happened.

With the Yankees having the 18th pick in the 2014 draft, and potentially more high picks due to qualifying offers to Granderson, Kuroda, and Cano, it’s concerning that nothing has changed.

Maybe we’ll be surprised in the near future.
